| | Hi Terry Thank you for becoming a member of the Skilled Trades Association. We have passed on your web site to all our members.
Terry, areas of our site have been altered to help make people such as yourself who are not of our local, feel more welcome in the association. Our mandate remains the same but there is a desire for a broader more encompassing agenda which will strengthen and support our trade issues. These issues will have to be dealt with in the auto industry across Canada. There are many local issues and national issues. Our unions are doing a great job of dealing with the fires and looking into the future. We are very happy to see that Skilled Trades people such as yourself and those not represented by unions and the young trades-to-be have taken issue and are rallying to effect change. We will add our ideas and our voices to our unions and help improve our lot. I was very impressed with you and your groups agenda and spirit and we are proud to affiliate with you. National Canadian Association Of Skilled Trades
Terry I see that 444 has trades out also. I don't know if they are up against the same issues as us? We would welcome them to visit our site and view our issues and see if there is something we have in common. There is a section called "HOW CAN I HELP". In it is a WORK SMART-WORK SAFE outline and there may be elements that can apply to other groups. Your laid off people may want to put something together and we would be more than happy to talk to them and help them. If there becomes a united WORK SMART-WORK SAFE agenda across all the auto sector perhaps management will have to deal with issues of trades more respectfully?
Once again thanks for your joining as some of have and will be doing in your group.
Papa Dez (PD)
